The newest venture from the team at Back 40 in North Kingstown, Black Oak will serve New England comfort food alongside a bar program focusing on local craft beer, wine, spirits and cocktails.
Scheduled opening date is slated for May 1st.
We are currently accepting applications for the following positions:

New restaurant opening at former Fat Belly’s

COVENTRY –– The owners of the North Kingstown restaurant Back 40, co-owned in part by Miss Universe, Olivia Culpo, are bringing a new restaurant to Coventry next year at the home of the former Fat Belly’s on Tiogue Ave.

Partner Joshua Culpo appeared before the Coventry Town Council on Monday night requesting a Class B victualing and live show entertainment license for the business, which he said will be called “Black Oak.” Culpo is working with business partner Justin Dalton-Ameen and Back 40 Head Chef Rob Pirnie of Coventry to open the facility some time in the spring, he told the council this week.
